It’s National Random Acts of Kindness Week

Have you ever thought to yourself when seeing a panhandler on the side of the road, “I’m not giving any money to them, they might buy alcohol or spirits with the money I give.”

Some would argue that, if you give to that person, you would be giving from your heart. Some would say, “Be wise, does the person ‘look like’ they would do the wrong thing with it?”

Now, this isn’t to force anyone’s hand, but, when you give freely and innocently from the heart, it really doesn’t matter in which you give, you are performing the selfless act of giving.

This week is National Acts of Kindness Week.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve approached a door and the person in front of me walking through it just walked through knowing someone was behind them.

Have you thought about how many times you’ve been to a restaurant, eaten your meal and left food on the plate. At those times, did you think about the people who were homeless out on the street that didn’t indulge in a meal that day?

Although we should be kind to people throughout our venture in life, take this week to focus on how you can do BETTER. Focus on how you can brush up on your ‘niceness’ skills. Focus on how you can do this with your near and dear loved ones and how you can do this for strangers.

But all in all, have an excellent week!

Happy National Random Acts of Kindness Week
