There is one slight change that will occur on July 1, 2019.
There has been a slight fee increase for that little keepsake folder that holds your memories. Of course, purchasing the additional keepsake folder is optional, however, just so you know the cost for the folder itself will increase from $1.00 to $2.00 in the future. I always encourage couples to purchase the keepsake folder because it makes it easier to distinguish the marriage license out from all of the other paperwork that may be sprawled out throughout the home. I also encourage couples to purchase the keepsake folder to hold their copy of their marriage license for nostalgic purposes.
If you are party to any of the couples I’ve joined, you know that I also encourage ordering additional copies of the marriage license (certified) after the ceremony. Some agencies will accept the couples’ copy of the marriage license for business purposes, however, if you have to mail off a copy for insurance purposes or other reasons., you may want to go ahead and purchase the certified copy.
